NEW FIRE- ILLUMINATING THE WAY TO A CARIBBEAN CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION
NEW FIRE began as a pioneering transformational concert series which featured the very best of Trinidad and Tobago’s diverse progressive music scene. Once a month from January 2014 to November 2015, a live concert was held at the iconic Mas Camp Pub which has been a home to the performing arts in T+T for over 25 years. We believe that developing the culture, art and creative products of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean can facilitate the development of a confident and resilient people with the ability to transform our society into a positive example to the rest of the world; in fact, this is one of the overarching objectives of the Trinidad and Tobago Bridge Initiative (TTBI), parent organisation of NEW FIRE. We are positioning NEW FIRE Festival as the premier outdoor Festival experience of its kind in the Caribbean. NEW FIRE Festival is the first of this new type of experience that has emerged globally within recent times to be taking place in the Caribbean. This ground-breaking initiative will be a trend setter in sustainable outdoor festival experiences, and its intentional non- exclusive philosophy will help in enabling the bridging of geographic and underlyingsocietal/social divides.
